CeBIT 2011
Hanover, Germany: March 1st to 5th
Hall 11, stand B10
Kirchheim near Munich, 19th January 2011. Networks are becoming more and more complex to administer, a situation that is particularly true for IT security systems. GeNUA, an IT security specialist from Munich, has a solution available to counteract the problems that come with this increasing complexity. At the 2011, CeBIT, the company will show how the GeNUCenter Management Station can be used to configure and administer the full range of GeNUA security systems. GeNUCenter provides a unifying interface that simplifies IT security administration. This is particularly important in larger networks and allows a high degree of security to be achieved with less resources and with fewer errors.
Central Administration with GeNUCenter increases IT security
The administration of IT security is of critical importance: the more complex networks are, the more involved their ongoing maintenance. With ever-increasing complexity, the probability that errors will be made that lead to serious security vulnerabilities also increases. The GeNUCenter system can help IT decision makers reverse this trend. The Central Management Station allows all GeNUA security systems, from firewalls and mobile security solutions to VPN and remote maintenance appliances, to be administered using a unified user interface. The station allows networks of any desired complexity to be modeled, and different network systems to be grouped together which, in turn, allows networks to be more easily administered. Use of the Central Management Station allows, for example, patches to be applied to a complete group of systems with a few mouse-clicks.
GeNUCenter provides administrators with all the information they require about the state of their company IT security at a glance. Security system configuration, patch level and log reports are clearly laid out: GeNUCenter independently prioritizes log reports, so that important information such as error messages is presented first, ensuring that it can be acted on immediately. In addition, GeNUCenter provides comprehensive reporting functions: what are the trends in e-mail traffic and the volume of spam or in hacker and virus attacks? This information is filtered out of the extensive logfiles, and made available in the form of reports that may be used at management level as incisive aids to decision-making. Four GeNUCenter models are available – 200, 400, 600 and 800 – providing hardware for a wide range of performance requirements. Prices start at 7,500 euros for the GeNUCenter 200.
