Software Options
GeNUScan
The software option GeNUScan creates an interface to the virus scanner running on the GeNUGate. GeNUScan forwards SMTP, POP3, WWW, FTP and NNTP and NNTP data to the following virus scanners:
- Antivir Professional by Avira
- Sophos Anti-Virus Scanserver for Unix
The appropriate virus scanner licenses are available from GeNUA.
GeNUBlock Blacklist
This software prevents access to specified Internet pages e.g. with undesirable content or online auctions. Unwanted categories can be selected from a blacklist that is constantly updated. Access to individual pages within these categories can be manually permitted, and other individual pages forbidden.
Hardware Options
GeNUGate ScanServer
GeNUGate ScanServer lets you delegate virus scanning from the firewall to an external machine. The ScanServer solution comprises the operating system and GeNUA software including GeNUScan and all necessary licenses.
GeNUGate BlockServer
GeNUGate BlockServer handles filtering of Internet accesses by URL for the firewall. The external server runs the GeNUBlock software and blocks surfing to unwanted Web domains and pages by selecting specific categories.
