Kirchheim/Ulm, March 3, 2026 – Together, for more security and sovereignty: Elbit Systems Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, a leading system supplier in the field of radio communication, guidance systems as well as military equipment, and genua GmbH, German specialist for IT-security and part of the Bundesdruckerei Group, have agreed to a strategic and long-term partnership for the development of highly secure communication products.
As the first concrete project, the two partners are developing robust, interference-proof radio devices that are equipped with hardware-accelerated, quantum-resistant encryption. The radio devices are intended to provide civil and military personnel in armed forces, security services and rescue organizations with modern, highly secure communication technology with which increasingly demanding tasks can be reliably performed. The jointly developed products are aimed at customers in selected NATO member states and EU member states.
Joint Development and Project Teams
"Given the current security situation in Europe, the market is demanding speed, reliability, efficiency and a high degree of product maturity. This is where the partnership comes in," says Marian Rachow, CEO of Elbit Systems Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG. "Two strong partners combine their know-how to make an extremely powerful radio device even more secure through the use of state-of-the-art encryption technologies. We are specifically investing in the collaboration with genua to optimize our common capabilities." Within the scope of the cooperation, joint development and project teams will therefore be created at the locations in Kirchheim near Munich and in Ulm.
