Kirchheim near Munich, February 6, 2020. As of January 1, 2020, genua GmbH is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bundesdruckerei GmbH. Both companies thereby further build upon their long-standing, successful cooperation as a supplier of IT security products and services "Made in Germany".
After its founding in 1992, genua GmbH established itself as a German specialist for IT security. genua has been a subsidiary of Bundesdruckerei since 2015: Bundesdruckerei initially purchased a 52 % share, increased its holdings in 2018 and, following approval by the antitrust authorities, has held 100 % of shares since January 1, 2020. This step completed the full integration of genua in the Bundesdruckerei Group, which also includes Maurer Electronics, D-Trust and iNCo as subsidiaries.
Strong positioning with IT security "Made in Germany"
The successful cooperation of both companies is to be further expanded in the future to allow customers and partners to continue to benefit from a unique portfolio of state-of-the-art security technologies. Bundesdruckerei offers digitization solutions for all aspects of highly-secure data and identities, which genua ideally complements with its expertise in the design of secure infrastructures for public authorities and businesses.
